Events

At the St. John’s ICARE Foundation, we are very active in our community.
We use every opportunity to bring awareness and support for Episcopal Health Services
and St. John’s Episcopal Hospital through community and signature events.

Whether it’s the St. John’s Invitational Golf Tournament or the Community and Back-to-School Wellness Event, St. John’s ICARE Foundation team members, supporters and volunteers are always taking part in an event or activity to help our patients and community as they travel on the path to wellness.

Signature Events
The St. John’s ICARE Foundation hosts signature events throughout the year with the goal of overall fundraising. In addition to engaging with our supporters, we raise awareness about Foundation programs and Hospital services and collaborate with local businesses.

St. John’s Invitational Golf Tournament
The Invitational Golf Tournament is a fantastic day filled with 18 holes of golf at one of Long Island’s finest and exclusive golf clubs. Players can expect to enjoy games, contests, brunch, and a BBQ on the course, as well as dinner and cocktails. The event program is filled with raffle baskets and awards. Many sponsorship opportunities are available.

Community Events
The St. John’s ICARE Foundation hosts community events during the year with the goal of giving back to the community. It is also an opportunity to engage with families, raise awareness about Foundation programs and Hospital services, and collaborate with local businesses.

Community and Back-to-School Wellness Event
Every year St. John’s ICARE Foundation distributes over 700 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in
the Far Rockaway community. It is a fun day, filled with activities, music, story-time, education, health screenings,

Holiday Toy Giveaway Event
Every year in December, our Holiday Toy Giveaway provides over 500 toys to children in the community. Toys will be distributed this year on Friday, December 20, at the Bayswater Jewish Community Center.
Teen Hygiene Bag Distribution
This initiative focuses on the health and well-being of the teenagers in the Rockaways. No person should go without daily hygiene essentials such as shampoo, body wash, deodorant, towels, feminine products, and more. We are grateful for the $38,000 grant we received from the Amazin' Mets Foundation that allowed us to assemble and distribute 1,000 bags at various community centers and events throughout Far Rockaway.
